Rua dos Mouros (La Baguette), 70x70cm, oil on canvas

The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam has many well-known lines, but probably the best known is: "A loaf of bread beneath the bough, a flask of wine, a book of verse - and Thou"

My young man bought his bread from the French bakery La Baguette, and got his book of verse - Fernando Pessoa of course - from Tavira library. He brought his own wine and his own dream.
