Just as with the saxophonist’s pose, Francis DELIVRÉ sought to depict the relationship between the double bassist and his instrument, where a form of sensuality develops between the musician and the double bass. The artist conveys this visually, and here too, with a touch of humor slipped into the pun of the title “Contrebasse, tout contre”!
