Born in the Netherlands, Will Kellermann moved, after an Art Education at several Art Academies, to Switzerland. She built her career as a recognized artist with many exhibitions. After 15 years she came back to her home country. Will then developed new techniques and a personal style with her Silkcolors©.
“For those paintings I use high quality China silk as a canvas. My deep and rich colors are obtained by painting layer upon layer of sparkling, transparent and opaque colors, a process in which harmony plays a big role. In my work I like to speak to the emotions of the observer”.
Will Kellermann’s flamboyant Silkcolors© show light and depth in a brilliant and magical way. These unique paintings are often touching at the brim of Symbolism, telling tales of Earth, People and Spirit. The paintings give a dreamlike view of ordinary things giving them color, letting them sing, making them into something special and enchanting”.
Will’s Oil paintings are filled with color and movement. Over the years, her style has evolved. Her colors are stronger, with a tendency towards abstraction, but still with the layering and Romanticism that is so characteristic of her work.
Watercolor is also a favorite technique.
Kellermann has a studio both in the Netherlands and Tavira, Algarve, and has been painting Portugal in all its facets for 25 years.
She says: “I am a Colorist; I see, taste, and feel color everywhere. My themes are very diverse, but the inspiration from Portugal is always present. Ideas come flying at me, both in my studio and in the world outside. I love Portugal. Portugal is beautiful, inspiring and everywhere I see images that I want to immortalize.”
Paintings of Will Kellermann have been exhibited in outstanding Galleries and Museums in Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Russia and Netherlands. Paintings are held by collectors in Europe, Middle East, China and America. Many paintings are awarded with international-prestigious Awards. The book “Romantisch Adventurisme”-Will Kellermann (Dutch-English) gives an inside view of her work and her life.
